10k par is up there, 12k par is rather low, but I still get decent growth from it.

Bulb from PGS is $60 each. That is after the discount then you have to add tax to it  ... I'm checking with another vendor for bulb unless you guys are ok with that price :D ..

Elite: They have a 175 watters. The 12k put out almost the same PAR as the 250 watters. Why waste the electricity?

Bummed there not on the group buy. O well.

Elite - Does the discount apply to ballasts as well? Oh - Can you tell me what is meant by adjustable socket for the L3's and if you get an L3/mini, should you also buy the A/C kit? Thank you.

No we are not getting the ballast too many thing to take care (sorry). You can move the socket in and out.
It's up to you. Do you have heat problem?

just FYI. This site has the reeflux SE bulbs listed, both 10 and 12 K 250W or 400W, for $59.99 with free shipping for 2 or more bulbs and no sales tax. So I hardly call the $60 a bargain. 69.95 for DE

Can't say I have any experience with this vendor. Just throwing it out as a consideration.
