Went to the Monterey Aquarium this weekend. Got a short behind the scenes tour from a friend. Here are some shots.

Were those corals all in a holding tank of some sort? Looks like more corals in that holding tank than I saw in the entire aquarium last I visited.

I went there to see the secret lives of seahorses exhibit... I was very disappointed to find a toadstool eating a pipefish!

Bastards!

Mostly because last I remember (granted this was a couple years back when the Jelly's were the main attraction), they had a few reef tanks over in the kiddie area (with tunnels and what not) and man did I get strange looks from parents spending time over there.. *sigh*

Oh no, the coral I had my eye on is not in the area it should be That was about he only time in my life I felt sad for days I couldn't get a frag. It was truly something different to say the least. Yellow and grey coesineria(sp?).

No I did not see the plasma bulbs, I guess I didn't have the clearance. jk

Numerous reasons why, usually it's miss declared.
