PSA Cheap Maxspect Gyre's

  1. Can't drop a flow sensor into a bucket or small test tank next to a powerhead to estimate flow?

    I don’t think it would be anywhere near accurate. The flow monitors attach to the plumbing where 100% of the water passes through it. If you were to hold it in front of a pump only a small amount of the water would pass through it. A gyre pump would be even worse since it’s flow is more linear.

    welp.. they shipped one, and canceled the 2nd one. better than nothing..

    Letting mine go for the same price I got, it didn’t work out for me, just won’t push water enough for 4 feet long tanks. Back to mp40
