I was doing a water change last week and i guess I splashed a little bit of water on the bulb. I didnt notice it cracked until today. Should i worry about UV exposure and change the bulb out asap? The crack is about a inch long.
Absolutely change it. If it does crack further and opens the outer envelope, you risk nuking your tank. Your livestock is way way more important and way more valuable than a $60-80 replacement
Ok, I will swap it out with a extra bulb I have till I get some replacements. I absolutely agree with my livestock being more important and i sure as heck would not want to lose anything. It was getting close to needing replacements anyway. Thanks guys!
