Yep.
Although the last "change" was very gradual, as I replaced lots of equipment, rockwork over several years.

Here are some pictures of the problem. You can see how the Majanos are winning against some corals.

But coral can win also.
This chalice is over a foot in diameter.
Bottom is infested, but coral does not care.

I did try that a while back, when there were far less.
Somewhat satisfying seeing them disintegrate. But that was about as useful as it got.

I did some math.
Seems like an average of 3 per square inch.
Ranges randomly from 1-8, so really a rough guess.
Seems like about 16 square feet of surface that at least has some.
Exposed rocks, some of the bottom, some of the sides, DT+sump.

Which means I have around 7,000 of them.

Time to get a gallon of vinegar and a hypodermic needle and get started. Say 50ml a day. It would be like carbon dosing with the added benefit of Majano death.

You would be surprised. A couple weeks of diligence (5 minutes a day) and you would be able to get a bunch cleared out so that you can better save your corals.

Yeah, I have tried really going at them with various chemicals.
It works of course.
But they just grow back like crazy.

The problem : Math.

Lets say each one spawns off a baby once every 6 months.
(I really have no idea)
That is still 40 new ones every day.

I can save a lot of corals though.
Majanos do not grow on active corals.
So all softies +Sticks are fine if I simply cut them at the base.
Encrusting and chalices are a problem though. Mostly need to just frag those.
