Hey all,
I had about 4 giant nassarius snails in my tank. One of them either died or was killed by a hermit crab (I saw the crab attacking the snail while the snail was on it's back). The others have been spending a lot of time right at or just above the water surface, is that normal?
I have read in the past that this is usually a sign that the snail is stressed out. However, I have other snails, i.e. stomatella, abalone, and regular nassarius, that seem to be doing fine. Are giant nassarius' more sensitive to water conditions than other snail? Or perhaps they are just delicacies to hermit crabs?
