TDS Meter Multiple Readings

I have this TDS meter

Today, while making RODI water, it gave me multiple readings. The device has only been used a few times...any idea why?

Some suggestions

- Was the TDS meter clean? Maybe had salt residual on it?
- It's a conductivity probe, so if you have any pumps or anything electrical, stray voltage could throw it off.
- try a new set of batteries. Maybe they shipped with batteries that didn't hold their charge well

i haven't cleaned it. soak in vinegar water and clean with q-tip?

I do have a heater in the brute running

You want To heat after mixing for most salts.

Rinsing with water should be enough.

Try testing with heater unplugged and see if you get the same wonkiness.

my BRS RODI unit sediment filter is beginning to change colors. Can I only change that, or do I need to change all three stages?

You can change the sediment only if you suspect it to be sturated already

They look sorry but keep going in my experience. I use pressure drop (and a volume meter) for keeping track of when to change prefilters.

Rinse with RO/DI then test RO/DI water in a container rinsed with RO/DI
