    I just bought that tank.

185g acrylic truvu tank. Dual overflows (one is DIY but looks good)
    55g truvu sump
    5' T5 actinic light
Light fixture with 2x 250w MH and 4x PC (65w?)
    Berlin skimmer (no pump), and
    UV filter.

    All for $450.
    Good deal?

I'm going to make the stand from scratch; theirs was pretty beaten up.
It didn't pass the wife test.

It will probably be September before I get to start my tank journal. :)

I think it's a good deal, but if it's what you're looking for that's what matters. looking forward to seeing how this tank turns out.

The price is OK if it was almost new!

Max I would buy it for is $600-700. Generally speaking you can buy used tanks for pennies on the dollar. And that is a NOW dollar, not 3 years ago dollar! When people sell their stuff, they think they've paid for it $1000 3-5 years ago and they think it's work $500 now! Nope! $1000 3-5 years ago is like $500 now! Things get cheaper! So a $1000 back then should be work about $100-200 NOW!

I'm not being unreal or selfish! Just realistic!

I've bought and sold things for pennies on the dollar! That's what this hobby dictates! (I think the only thing that may rise in price are your corals if they propagate and multiply! Otherwise! Used equipment is Not worth the money! Been stung b4 so I wised up.

    BTW, NOW prices:

I can get the 150 Tank Brand new $900-$1000 (Tropical Fish on Saratoga)
Canopy and Stand $400 (Brand new) Also at Tropical Fish
The rest is window dressing... If you don't mind used, then it's cheap! Otherwise $1500 and even $1000 is WAY too much in my book!

I think he paid only $450 for the setup. If everything is in good condition, it's a great deal.

Now we're talking... The price was right for that deal YES! Good find... Even if it's a little beaten up, it's still a good deal!
