Our mission

Website Name

We at New Alameda have decided to change our website to www.SexyCorals.com
However some of our sponsors think that the word Sexy in SexyCorals can offend people.
Therefore we are not allow to use that banner. Is it to offensive even for a website to have it?
Thanks for all your support.

hmm.. cool name, but only thing is anything with the word 'sex' or 'sexy' seems to be linked with porn, even if inadvertently, on the internet.. dunno if thats what they are worried about, just food for thought..

and just checked out the website, i like the revamping with the 'l' 'p' and 'area 51' sections.. ;D

Hey Steve. Doesn't offend me, but I think a different name would be way better.

The corals are sexy already without making that your website name. Hot chicks don't go around telling people how hot they are. Know what I mean?

Btw, save me a frag of that Taylor Raine monti :D :D :D

p.s. I like Area 51 also. Great concept.

What sponsors are you talking about?

You will get a bunch of people who will buy from you with no problem. You will get some people who say they have a problem but still buy from you. You will get some people that won't buy from you.
It was the same with reefermadness.

A non sexy name might be better, but it might not. Knowing you, go with a different name so you won't be worrying about it every day! :D How about www.john16corals.com? ;)

From a marketing standpoint "sexy" doesn't really make any sense. Your strength is the quality of your corals and the availability of Tyree ultra rares. I do agree "sexy" isn't a good word in general unless you're talking about BeBe, Candies, Victoria's Secret or the like. But even more so it distracts from your true worth. I'd put Tyree right in the name if I were you and let people wonder why that matters. Kind of "tease" them into wanting to know more. Then provide them the information that will make them come back over and over again.

D

To be perfectly honest, there are too many damn companies with "catch phrase" names for websites, exotic, extreme, etc. and you should base your business off the quality of your corals not just a fancy catch phrase to get people to come in.

For a website name, think simplicity, think relevance. Small name, relevant to corals, ditch the sexy prefix.

Thanks for all the inputs.

After all the inputs, I finally agree upon www.trieu-exotics.com. A special thanks to Mr. Ugly.

Please visit our new website www.trieu-exotics.com

Haha... Trieu is Steve's last name :D

Plus, you know what Trieu-ly Rare means, don't ya?

Or do you prefer www.true-exotics.com ? :D
