i am going with 400w ballast and a large reflector but wanna know which 20k rodium bulb is best in your opinions.... i will be trying to grow it all under there

Well since you said Radium I guess you already made up your mind.

However, for growth:

You can have both with the Ushio 20KK plus or the 14KK..

I use both and love both. Of course you'll get better growth with the 14KK

I've been interested in this one: http://reefbuilders.com/2010/11/22/aquastar-14500k-metal-halide-lamp-coming-coralvue/

+1. I was using Hamilton 14k on my flat and it was good. Love the color of my ushio 20 k+ at home. I think 14k better for growth though. That 6500 may get growth, but you will have a bunch of big brown corals

There is/was an issue on the import of Radium bulbs that seems is going to halt import of those(at least temporary); luckily I'm set for 5+ years !!

Aquatic Collection did a group buy a while ago. I bet Steve Ruddy @ Coral Reef EcoSystems up in Norcal could get them for you as well.
