If you go back to some of the old threads where Dave was looking for a camera there were a few online suggestions.
 
Look like buydig is the cheapest for D40x and 18-200 VR len (total $1,223.00). I need to sell something to get another $300 ;D ..

Since you asked I'll take your tank for $300! jk, you are a lot closer to a good camera than me :)
