I have anemone dying off in my 10 gallon. I'm thinking my skylight that came with the tank isn't powerful enough. Should I go with the 11" t-5 coral life or should I go with the AI prime? Or will the AI prime be overkill for a 10?

The AI prime should be fine. You can control intensity of the leds and the height of the light.
I dont recommend t5s for beginners.
The AI prime is a $200 programmible led fixture ready to go out of the box.
T5s youre going to have to find a fixture for your 10 gallon. Most likely if you upgrade to a bigger tank, youre not gonna want to use the same small t5 fixture. You would be able to add your prime to your new tank and add another prime. All depends on how big you go later.
Also going to have to pick out bulbs and replace them.
Theres also the kessil 160 which is programmible but needs the 100$ controller. And the overall fixture is more expensive by like 30$
