How did you trigger the shutter? sharks with lasers?
I triggered the shutter via remote release, and had the trigger to the flashes in my mouth, LOL
Wow, I never really thought about what a water balloon looked like after it popped.
Maybe try a tighter crop? Also, wonder if a dart gun approach would work (place needle in a straw and then blow on it).
or combine your two ideas! Coat the balloon in alcohol and light it on fire. Take a picture of the self extinguishing rupture!
