Demo, concrete prep (slab foundation) self leveling.
Wow, just wow...
That is a huge stand and tank. Nice
This for your house?
Tell more about the tank that will be sitting there.
We are building this tank for a good friend of mine in Hillsbrough, CA. The tank is 3/4" acrylic, dimensions are 120" long x 29" wide x 24" tall. This tank is being setup as a seperation between the hall and living room, so the viewing height is high. The bottom of the tank starts @ 48" and the top of the tank @ 72" high. This way there is no bending over to look at the tank + more space for needed equipment under the stand. This was kind of tricky because the footprint of the tank was bigger than the footprint of the stand, making it hard to fit everything.
Setting the stand in place! It has been attached to the slab with qty-8 5/8" x 6" wedge anchors plus apoxy into the slab foundation. The top of the stand is 1.25" T&G plywood, attached thru predrilled holes (before powder coating) with Stainless Steel Screws.
Lighting Canopy Install! Attached to exterior wall on one end with 3/8" lags and other is suspended from the vaulted ceiling with 1/8" Stainless Wire Rope from center beam.
Wow... Exciting
Cool, can't wait to see the thing up and running.
Clearly the case of "Go big or go home!"
Walls for a house?? Nah, I'll just build one huge tank with rooms inside of it, sure there might not be much privacy, but man would that look cool
Massive EXTRA HEAVY-DUTY Custom Steel Stand construction, + PLUS flat black powder coating. This was pretty fun building and even more so when we told the powder coater what it was for!
