Please see other subech for care suggestions.
The orange and green should get more intense too. Looks like yours was fragged from the edge. That part wasn't as bright as the rest of the colony.
Update on this coral, the colors actually went back towards the browner region *sigh*
I've seen that morph get dark with lower lighting.
Actually, it was very dark to begin with when i bought it. The orange was very muddy and I believe it came from a somewhat dark corner of the Atlantis flat,colony tanks. Mingwei really gave the club super pricing that day. Love those sponsors and Atlantis has been with us since the beginning. Say thanks next time you're there.-Jim
Last update of today, mostly because I'm not very pleased with my others!.
I'm not really proud of the direction this guy is going, it's growing fine, but the color is not what I like. The problem is I keep my LPS segregated on a rock that is under the center acrylic brace, and it's a very wide brace, as a result I can't put a light over that part of the tank (or I could it just wouldn't do much good). Now I don't know if this is a lighting issue or what, but I don't have the time or to setup a growout tank with a light over it, that and I really don't want to keep PG&E living the good life (electricity). One of these days I might setup a tank a frag tank connected to my system, although T5s will most likely be light of choice.
Anyways... it's grown and I should be happy with that

Cool
You can always color it up later. Good growth there
Yeah I figured color is secondary *laugh*... the only downside is I don't see any feeders of this guy at night, so how it's growing is beyond me.
I had an Acan Echinata that didn't send out feeders for a few months..NONE. A few months after that, it would extend them constantly in anticipation of feeding (he was a BIG eater one he realized that opening up = food)
New pictures coming later! (btw I'm saying this in the threads so I don't have to go searching for them when I get home, right now, office hours I have nothing else to do
)
After a couple weeks orange definitely seems to be the dominate color in this guy
