Tell us what you liked and didn't like (don't hold back) about the swap so we can continue to make it better.

Anything from how you liked/disliked check-in
Time between the rounds
Size of picking groups

Corals - OK, but too many AOG zoas and not much of a variety of zoas or mushrooms. I would have liked to see more of a variety of Zoas and Mushrooms. There were too many SPS tables and not enough LPS & Softies. Big smile
Time between the round - Give 10 seconds for the people to get out and give everyone 3 minutes 30 seconds to pick frags
Picking Group Sizes - Perfect
Etc Etc Etc - I HATED when everyone rushed in on round 5 group B and took all the corals before I could get the 3 I was supposed to get! Angry
Suggestions - Have a "Miscellaneous" table for anemones, macro algae, rotifiers, etc...

Overall, I thought the swap was awesome! The 2 best things I got were an electric green hairy mushroom that I put in my 14g and a GBTA that was as sticky as glue that went into my 34g. I really liked some of the DBTC items that I received at the swap, too! Laughing out loud

Thank you to the team for setting this all up. I think you can shorten rounds but lengthen delay up to 15 seconds or even a little more. I thought labelling could have been better enforced. Perhaps raffle numbers displayed on the projector. Although that might have not helped me I just spent all my time socializing!!!! Other than that I thought it was absolutely fantastic as a first timer the BAR red-shirts had it under control.

Raffle numbers on the projector would have been very nice...

I really liked that the whole event was shorter and faster than prior swaps. I felt less exhausted at the end. Smile

I agree with Jason, that the shorter time of the event made it more enjoyable. Mainly because my wife didn't complain that I was gone all day. All in all great event like always.

It got started on time so that was good. It was shorted then other BAR meetings I've been to and it was fun. Big smile

Amazing corals, thank you to everyone who was so generous. I have been to 4 swaps now BAR, MARS, and CRC (Chico), this was by far the quickest. It was nice to see the quality pieces in the later rounds, one of my favorite pieces came in the 3rd round.
I am also very greatful for the pack that was handed out at the check-in table, now I don't have to trust 2 year old calibration fluid.

Changes I would suggest-
raffle numbers on the projector or a large sheet of paper-that way the callers don't have to repeat themselves.

Make people sit down and fill out labels for all containers, I have a few piece I will be nervous about since I don't know where to position them.

on the free-for-all round, allow each person to take one coral, once they have selected and take their coral back to their cooler they can enter again and select another.

+1

Saw lots of nice corals coming through the check-in table.

Lots of people brought more than the 3 minimum Laughing out loud

Coral sorting and coral runners worked out pretty well.

I liked seeing Eileen hide in fear of Chinese New Year mochi cake Laughing out loud

Awesome baked goodies from Sherri, yet again Laughing out loud

Good seeing new people and answering questions at the Welcome table. Glad that the freebie items were appreciated.

Richard did an awesome job with the Newbie table. The new Newbie table location was good. Also, thank you Sherri for helping there too. Just enough space for all the people. Thanks to all those that helped cleanup. Check in was orderly. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Next regional swap I would like to have printed maps of the swap location and our sponsors for those people in from out of town to know how close they are to more great coral.

Glad there were ample supplies as we set up this morning. From tape to markers to plain old sheets of paper. Thanks team. The plastic signs a huge help as they were visible, maybe write larger for check in next year.

Thank you to those who dropped off coral for the newbie table. There was good variety of SPS and softies.

+1.5... Big smile
(I'm not our of town though...)
I went to Aquatic Collection (my 2nd favorite LFS) which is precisely 1.1 miles down the road before the swap and picked up 2 rocks of yumas for $45 each with 10-15 polyps on them each. One was electric green the other was hot pink with electric blue and green stripes. Aquarium Concepts (no longer a sponsor) is 15 minutes away if you take the right exit and I think there are many more LFS packed in that area but I haven't been to them. Sad
