My 210 restart.

Did three 40 gallon water change. Let's see how things recover. Will do two more tomorrow. Lots of bleach corals but after the the water changes they started to color up a bit. Let's see how things go.

Yeah you'll have a hard time raising your alkalinity as long as that calcium is elevated like that.


I've been testing my alk it's at 8.6 Hanna and kh director results. The calcium is a bit high but using the nyos kit it shows only 500-550 range. Will retest again. I've since dialed down the reactor and let the doser balance alk.

Hmm you test at 8.6 but the water analysis you posted shows 6.8? That's a little far off to be within the range of acceptable variance between methods.
 
How did the calcium get so high to begin with? Not your carx, so is the salt mix to blame? Can high calcium cause your acropora to stn? So many questions...
