It’s enough light for sure, just more for better spread once stuff grows eventually.

Maybe. I think that balance is fine, but you could definitely handle more if you wanted to. I’m a fan of small colorful and active so lyretail anthias/more chromis is what I would do. I would also say long term the blue tang is likely to get too big.

    Salinity has been OFF???

It matters what temp the instrument is, not the water

    My 150 gallon build journey

    Looking good! Nice scape!

    Salinity has been OFF???

No reason to go fast. I’ve never experimented with taking frags from 35-40 quickly, but I’m not that surprised they made it. Especially since they were healthy and not newly cut when you got them.

    Pin wheel impeller broken

I catch myself trying to think that way too, that’s why I said it. What I have come to realize is that it really doesn’t make sense to skimp on equipment or maintenance due to cost because if you lose one coral then it cost you a lot

    Pin wheel impeller broken

I’d replace it personally. You spend more than $200 on a single coral. This very important piece of equipment helps keep all of them alive.

    Another bare bottom question...

I’ve seen them live without sand, but I don’t see them provide much benefit. The main reason I use them is for sand sifting.

    Randy’s venture into salt water.

I’m not saying this it what actually happened. I’m saying it could have happened. My point is you can’t for sure rule out the lack of acclimation causing an issue like you seem to want to do

    Randy’s venture into salt water.

So you brought them up halfway over how long, then threw them in?

    Randy’s venture into salt water.

I disagree. If new fish died it cause ammonia and low oxygen which take other fish with them. Big sensitive ones first. You don’t have much oxygenating the water. Was the tank covered?

    clownfish pair needed

This should be in buy sell trade which you can see if you become a supporting member

    Randy’s venture into salt water.

I agree with a lot of this, and want to add that 30-45 min acclimation is good for some fish, but if you get fish from AC in their fish only system (maybe they have two separate ones and this is just one, I forget) the salinity is somewhere like 1.020 usually. In that case to get it up to 1.026...

    Booster pumps.

That’s good, nobody wanted to see you playing on one, even back then.
