    Engineer Fish

    I like 9 to 12 in". But bring them down in increments (16-18")and keep and eye on things. If you see an unhappy piece, move the lights up a bit. Good luck, and except for your electric bill your going to love the results. Kelly

    we've been using a RHS-10ATC REFACTOMETER for years and have had no problems with the calibration. It has been very reliable.

    How close is your tank to the wall behind it?

    I am going up too a 175 and I'd like to go 12 inches if I can, but a minimum of 8 inches. Too many times over the last 5 years I did not have enough rough room behind the tank. If you don't have the room, make the room. This is no Toyota. Kelly

    Reinforcing floor for large tank?

    Vince, I reinforced our floor for a 90 gal, just in case of the big one. Now I am moving up to a 180 and have no worries. I also ran some new wireing while I was down there and installed GFI outlets. Good Luck Kelly
