What membrane do you use in your RODI?

We're always here for you. Email: sales@airwaterice.com OR call 772-461-0256 for over 30 years experience in helping saltwater tank owners get the BEST results for LESS than ANY of my competition. Don't waste your fish $$$ on expensive prefilters that DO NOT REMOVE ANY TDS...you NEED our NEW series of Filmtec membranes (they are not all the same)...ASK us about our 99% rejection, mild chlorine tolerant, high rejection filmtec membranes and because these specs are tested at 50 PSI you will find my membranes get over 20% more GPD than any other brand or series of membrane. ADD this membrane in front of my nuclear grade DI resin...and be amazed how much longer your DI resin lasts!

I really should buy a booster pump from you guys.

Since we do get a discount and you're always so awesome about donating a full RO/DI unit to the club.

By the way, I've heard great things from the winners of those RO/DI units!

And the raffle ticket box for the RO/DI unit at the last frag swap was FULL of tickets!

I'm coming in really low. My PSI from tap reads under 30 going into the filters.

My initial water quality is good though coming from Sierra Nevada snowmelt pipelines, so TDS at output is 0.

I want the booster pump to speed up water production and lengthen the lifespan of my filters since I hear low pressure = inefficient filters.

Yes. That is correct. the booster pump should be the perfect solution. Ideal is at least 50 PSI against the membrane...

Will the booster pump still work if I am using a Faucet adapter?

My RODI sits un-used/un-plumbed under my sink when not in use.

I attach this faucet adapter to my kitchen sink faucet when I want to make RODI. Can I still use the faucet adapter with the booster pump?

No. You want a braided hose adaptor (under sink) OR a garden hose adaptor. [IMG]

Oh thanks for the quick reply.

I'll have to look into my plumbing situation and see if I can utilize the Braided Hose Adapter since I am renting the apartment. Don't want to make any permanent changes to the plumbing unless I can fix/replace them when I move out of the apartment.

If your fridge makes ice or dispenses water, you likely have a braided hose connection behind the fridge.
