After the Earthquake...

This past weekend I made my way up to Napa for a build - the customer lost almost everything in the quake.

So, a new start was in order...

Looks awesome. Are you using sand and concrete to bond the pieces together, or is it something else?

Edit: I really should actually read a post before responding. Looks like you are using Emaco.

No rock slides!
Good for you, Jon. Nothing like stress testing the pile.

I felt the same way about the stand I made for my 120. Water sloshed out but stand held!

My cousin that lives in Napa wasn't so lucky. Rocks fell, tank broke!! Cichlid tank so probably had way different kind of rock.

Hmm has anyone told you, you have a gift?

You have been bestowed the gift of....building beautiful aquascapes.

When I get a new tank (which wont be for a long time) I will be contacting you to do the aquascaping.

So does the acrylic you're working with/clamped on let you know the size of the tank when building this? Or was that just used as a work space?

The acrylic gives me the basic dimensions as well as a solid building surface (I always cast the base rocks with a fglat bottom to assure a stable build.
