I recently moved my tank and in doing so set off El Diablo!
I made sure to transport the pair together.
After the move for 2 day everything was calm.
Then fiery .Seriously ,one minute calm the next El Diablo!
First his mate.She didn't stand a chance since he is twice her size.
Ate all her fins off.(I did try to catch her but short of another complete tear down couldn't catch her)
So I thought WOW .OK .but now he is after everything in my tank .
Clowns ,Gobie,Clam, anything that moves!! Anyone ever had this happen?What should I do?
I really don't want or have time right now to do a complete tear down for a week or so .
I afraid he'll kill everything by then.He is the biggest fish on the block..???
 
I have nothing to add other then the barbless hook sounds like is needed. How very strange he'd go postal like that.
 
I know some BAR members who actually caught their GSM clown using fishing line & a hook (even without bait). Did it work for your devil cardinal fish?
 
I've used hook and line numerous times for several different fish :) worked every time.
 
He seemed to be a little less jumpy today. Before the trap of course. :(
The problem is he's good at hiding,not eating since he was a father.
Circle hooks tomorrow! :)
Maybe after basically changing 100% of his water during the move with natural sea water,
He thought he was FREE! :D
