Bay Area Glass Cutters

Likely building my own sump. Sticker shock on the retail ones...anyone recommend a good and inexpensive glass cutter? I tried one in Pacifica and they want $20/sheet for 9x12.25" polished edge sheets. too expensive.

Also, I have 14" x 36"space in my stand...would like the largest one possible.

Try road runner glass, I went to one in Fremont and it ended up being about $10 per piece.

I had Ace Hardware cut some small pieces for my sump baffles

Are you building a complete custom sump? Do you have experience with building tank (as in make it not leak)?

Acrylic is way easier, but more expensive too.

My sump (as mentioned) is a plastic bin inside of a 37 gallon tall glass tank. Totally ghetto!

Did you test fit your glass sump under your stand? Make sure it can slip in there before buying glass.

Gave up on the custom sump. Bought an Eshopps R-200. Had to partially dismantle my stand to fit it in.
