Yeah, you have to make sure the lens is really clean and you have to get an angle that reduces glare and reflections. It works really well when you are trying to get a picture of a single specimen.
 
So who knows what kills chalices when acros are thriving? Don’t wanna influence answers so I’m not gonna offer any other information yet. I’ve lost some chalices over the last several months. Any ideas?
