Hey everybody,

I started my own reef tank about 2 months ago, and I just wanted to ask, do you guys use filters over your camera lenses, or do you just take the Photos and edit them? I wanna learn how to take better photos when my tank goes into its’ blue lighting mode. Below is an example of what my photos come out as under blue lights

Thanks!

You need an orange filter at minimum. There are clip-on kits for cell phones. Works well mostly. But depending on your light settings some tweaks are needed

Gel filters for sure on dslr. Yellow, orange, and green

at first I would turn my lights whiter to get pics but I ended up getting the polyp labs lens v2 that clips on. Below is a before and after, I’d say it does draw some colors out more than how it actually looks, especially the pink in this nem. I don’t see it pink at the tips in real life.
