Good local schools?

I'm looking for a place to get certified before heading on a trip later this year -- any suggestions for good places to learn on the peninsula?

Anybody got any good suggestions for dive schools in the Bay Are in general? I'd propose Bamboo Reef, always looks quite proffesional and my wife was taught there and came out the other side a pretty confident diver. Any more???

Is bamboo reef in Berkeley? I think I was certified there about 8 years ago and it was great.

Bamboo Reef is the city 4th and Harrison or Brannan I beleive. I used this guy http://www.sfscubaschools.com/

Bamboo Reef has a good reputation amongst the instructors and dive masters of the area.
