June 10th BAR Meeting - Electrical 101

Mr. Ugly

Past President
Electrical 101 - June 10th, 2006, 1pm

Bay Area Reefers is proud to host "Electrical 101", a presentation on basic electrical distribution including breaker panels, circuit wiring, GFCI, calculating equipment loads, safety concerns, and more. We will have lecture and hands on demo with sample components in order for you to become familiarized with materials which may be used on a reefer's electrical project.

Robert(Bob) Koch, our guest speaker, has over 50 years of experience in the design, installation, and repair of electrical, electronics, and data/telecom for research laboratories and their specialized equipment. You will have an opportunity to ask Bob electrical related questions specific to your systems.

Do we have people pick up stuff from our sponsor/donators yet??
:)

And Rich.. Don't forget the IC Gel... I'm running out and need some more

Rarefrags.com isn't new, they've donated to many events all ready ;)

I don't suppose this is going to be videotaped? :) This is something I really need to see (planning my in-wall now), but I can't make it to the meeting. :(

Elite,

So far, so good. I think Arnold and Dudley have it covered. Might need a hand, but we'll hear if that's the case :)

Natterjak,

Video would be cool, but we'd need a volunteer who would do that for us on Saturday. I almost brought a video camera for the last one, but had so much going on that I figured I'd lose it or drop it or some dumb thing like that :)

This presentation will be more of a general overview. Is that what you were looking for in relation to your new system?

Even if you're not able to attend, you can give us your questions, and we can ask for you at the meeting. Same goes for other people too. So if anbody has questions they'd like to have answered, please post them here :)

I just wanted to update that rarefrags is not donating to the raffle. I started my own site now and I am the one that is donating. My site is reefready.NET. Look forward to many more donations from me. Arnold deserves some thanks for picking these donations up. He is helping the club out a lot. What would people rather have donated? SPS or LPS. I will do both but I will donate more of one type. Thanks for the input.

Matt,

My apologies for the confusion. I had thought that RareFrags=Matt Juner

Will get that corrected, and make a point of letting people know at the meeting too.

Thank you so much for your generous support!

Norman.

Matt and Juner are two different people  He's Matt H :D
