Wayward Whales Photos

I went whale shooting today, and would like to share the pics with you. What a treat to see these two from a ridge behind my house. The calf sure jumped with joy (I think) after swimming under the Carquinez bridge. Hopefully they'll make it safely to the ocean. Here's the link:

pbase? boooo!

but in all seriousness, great photos! thanks for sharing. I hope these whales get back into the open ocean soon!

So where are the whales now? I haven't been looking at the news, last I heard they've been swimming down, but then back up, and they shot them with antibiotics.

Where's all the techno stuff?

What lens so on so forth?

Camera body is the EOS 10D, the one I bring to meetings. Lens is 100-400mm 1:4.5 - 5.6 "L" with image stabilizer. That's one of those ubiquitous white lenses you see in sporting events.
