yea had that problem a while back kind of got rid of it by doing a large amount water change along with removing most of it by hand. the algea recently came back and just thought i ask once more on bar to see if there are anything that i should add to the tank to help control it a bit better.

emerald crabs might be a good idea.. i want to advoid adding any chemical if possible and just trying to do everything.. pulling / scrubbing doesnt work that well because its really hard to get them all when they are in between the rock work and stuff. thank you all every post and advice will be...

thanks for the info mike! my tank didnt have the algea problem untill like 2 years after the setup but if anything maybe over feeding might be the main issue. ill try to keep an eye on that

i will go and try all you guys advice and see which one works but sea hare might be the last thing.. i have heard that they were quite effective but just dont like the look of it too much lol ( plus i have a feeling my hermit crab might eat that too hahaah )

hi all, does anyone know a good way to get rid of hair algea? im always picking them out but they grow back really fast. i try one of those abalone and it just ended up being dinner for one of my blue legged crab. any advice guys?

get a lawn mower blenny.. they will clear up those hair algae for you..

i thought i start with the manuel removal and water change. i pulled out as much of it as possible and did a 20 percent water change. now lets see if the damn things come back.

look in the back chamber ( if you have one ) mines jumped back there a couple of times.. funny thing is sometimes it will jump back to the front if he feels like it. kinda wierd
