Going to New York next month and I was trying to get some input on the food spots. What are things they have there that are a must have/try?

Rendezvous. It's a BBQ place over in an alley by Times Square if I recall.

I used to visit NYC when my wife studied there a few years back. The places I liked were usually more low-key and not fancy (especially since there's not much catering to vegetarians), but serve good food to be shared in good company.

Also, go to Chelsea market, get lunch, then take it up on the highline to eat it.

It's also fun to stop at unique corals
