Algae growing on Cyphastrea.

I've got some algae growing on the rock being encrusted by my meteor shower. It looks kind of weird when has algae sticking out of it. Would it be safe to pull this rock and gently scrub off the algae? Or might that damage my meteor shower?

The risk of damage is likely mostly in your algae removal method, not it removing the rock to do it.

I was going to try very gently with super soft bristle tooth brush. Any yea, I wasnt worried about pulling the rock.
