#6 is the only one I couldn't immediately get, although a quick google image search could easily find it :)

Yeah bumble bee shrimps are not too commonly sold at LFS. I hear they only eat starfish. Good control for asterina stars?

Gnathophyllum americanum eat the tube feet of echinoderms. They don't require them though.

Should have made them do the scientific names :)

I knew you'd say that!

My initial PM to @Enderturtle was to change the format so it's not a 'first response' type thing.

#6 was the only one I didn't know as well.
As for controlling asterinas? Harlequins do a great job.

According to LA they may be good for that since they're similar to the harlequin, also says they'll eat meaty foods too, I seem to recall the harlequin eating only starfish feet... but I've never been one to keep them so don't know.

;);)Yeah designing forum competitions and games is not an easy task.

I learned a lot running this quick forum contest. Especially from the personal feedback from bar's members

This contest thread was looked at over 100 times in the course of less than 24 hours. And im sure a lot of you learned a little bit about reef invertebrates :)

Future contests will be designed to be longer term. And maybe ill do some photoshopping or take my own pictures to deal with you smarty pants google image searchers ;)

Feel free to send me private messages for other contest forum event ideas.

never heard of them being called that, but I can see them being called that. So many common names for one species.

Export lists still have common names like "moon stone" or "gem stone"... those can be applied to numerous genus and way more species. You end up learning which line item of those are in terms of what they really are... just takes a few shipments
