Melanurus wrasse swimming up and down next to glass?

So we got a melanurus wrasse yesterday, and he's spent most of today (first full day in the tank) swimming up and down next to the glass. Think it might be stress behavior, since it's a new addition, but this is our first one. Does this sound like stress behavior, or is there something else I should watch out for?

We also have a firefish and a watchman goby in the tank, and neither of them are exhibiting odd behavior.

Do you have a decent sand bed and lots of good hide spots? My leopard and melanurus both do this occasionally in my 125 and I’ve them for a while now.

Neurotic behavior
Offer food to distract
Turn off lights
I hope the tank has a good lid
I'll try the food and turning off the lights; thanks.

Yes to both. It was doing this for a few hours, and now it seems to be cruising around the rocks, so hoping it was just stress-related.
