Need recommendation on overflow box

Hey everyone,

I'm going to plumb a 14g Innovative Marine Peninsula to my main display.
The tank is 11.8" L x 20" W x 13", and the overflow will go on the 11.8'' side.

Looking for some insight on the overflow box and drilling.
I am planning on removing the false wall and baffles, but don't know what to do after that.

This is the best/closest overflow I could find but I think it might be too long, any thoughts? https://modularmarine.com/collectio...-low-profile-overflow-box-with-removable-weir
Would it be easier to ask for a custom order? Any recommendations on that?

Thanks!

I haven't really thought about that.

My goals are:
Needs to be quiet/silent (the fiancee is very noise sensitive since the tank is next to the TV)
Needs to have multiple drains in case of failure
Easy to clean overflow

Other than that, I'm all ears.

Eshopps makes a simple to install overflow bow.

Simple to install, but never silenced!

If you want dead silent, go with a vendor that has the external overflow box the same height as the internal one. Modular marine is one of those vendors. The box you linked to might be a little big, but they can customize as needed. Also for a a tank that size, I definitely wouldn't go bean animal, too many pipes.

In this case though, I'd probably make an internal box or buy one and just drill two drains in the back for it and one next to it for the return.

If you don't care about aesthetics, you can throw 3 bulkheads on it (or two and run the return over the top like my recent hack job).
