replacing shocks on Tocama

Hi All,

Think my shocks are blown, I have no idea how old they are, but the truck is a 95 and they could very well be the originals. I towed a boat on 880 with a tongue weight of around 300lbs, I think hitting the bumps, dips, and pot holes at 55mph killed them, the rear end is sitting a little low. At first I was worried about my leaf springs, I just think the shocks don't have the juice to push it that final 1-2" up.

It looks pretty easy to replace the rear shocks myself, I've done it on an old Jeep, seems like it should be just as easy on a Tacoma, any pointers suggestions? I have nice long handle torque wrench and grease, and rubber mallet, all I need right?

Thanks!

Josh
