Hello. A little about my setup. Display 190 gallon , sump 80 gallon, frag 60 gallon and a fewQT. Rock has followed me around for 25 years approximately. I set this aquarium up in 2019 when I took down my FOWLR 120. It’s a simple setup but with a few bells and whistles. I can get more into detail if you guys want to know.

I would love to see more photos showing your corals. I can't tell what they are and some look nicely grown out. No rush - just interested.

If I remember correctly. It’s a 60x30x25. The room is small and it’s on the second floor. Or first floor depending on how you count. lol.

I grow them in my frag tank. When they are a 2” or more then I chop it and put it in the display. My photo skills are terrible. They are all name corals. I just don’t know their names. And when I ask them. They ignore me.

Hello.
I finally have a little time to update my build thread. Lots has changed since a few years ago. DT- I changed the lights out to 1last Ghl, 2 Smatfarm 150, 1 AliExpress light bar. I lowered my rock work. Lots of sps died.
Sump- I added 1 more skimmer, moved to Kalk slurry, turned off uv, removed algae scrubber, added small display fuge, added vodka carbon dos.
55 gallon- remove trigger and emperor angel, added powder blue, blue face, scopas tang. Rearranged rock work.
Frag tank- added yellow tang, springer damsel, six line wrasse. Lost a lot of sps. Changed lighting to 3 AliExpress bars.
Last year has had a lot of ups and downs with my aquariums. Oh someone gave me aefw but I suppose I can’t complain. They were free lol. I’m Crying in the corner. Not too bad infestation tho. But they are there.
Now I know why my sps died last year. Well I think.
Equipment- got rid of the apex classic , khg. Got the 2016 apex and trident. Moved to 95% solar since July 2022.
That’s about it for now.

I like the AliExpress bars. I always tell everyone that most aquarium components are made in Asia. Asian tech has gotten a lot better every year. I’m hoping for good things from the Smatfarm too.
If I were to do the bars again. I would have gotten the custom ones and picked my own led colors for an extra 20 dollars.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Ali E bars. I'll have to try them at some point...

Also totally agree about asian tech improving. My jabao doser has been rock solid for the past four years.

Daymn I haven’t up dated this build in a while. Well I’ll recap 2023. In short it sucked. I got sloppy and got velvet. I was just about in my happy place with fish ( approximately 60 ). It killed half of my fish. I did the peroxide method. It took a long time and killed a lot of my micro biome. So I had to rebuild that. Then I got AEFW. So I ripped out all of my sps and dipped them all every week for 5 weeks to break the spawning cycle. At that point either I was going to fix it or they were going to die cuz I was loosing a colony every month or so. At the end of 2023 I added a 40 gallon breeder which was supposed to be a fuge but it ended up being a softie tank. Also I never chased numbers in this set up. Mid 2023 I figure I’ll try something different. So I’ve been trying to level out my nitrates and phosphate. They are down but not great. Started with vodka and lanthium. This is probably my last pictures of this set up as I’m about to build my last aquarium. Sorry my pictures are horrible. Oh I forget, I think I had a bacterial infection too. So I cipro the whole system. Tell ya. It was rough. Hopefully things will get better from here.

Ssshhhhhhh…… all the tangs were kidnapped as babies. Now they are in their gang years. Thus my last aquarium upgrade. My DT is a 190. 5 aquariums all together. Gonna consolidate hopefully with the new build.

Yes. I’m gonna go 8x3x2. I got short arms. That’s already gonna be approx 3500 lbs on my sad floors. I want to do a Steve Weast style rockwork aquarium

I highly encourage you to do 27” tall
I’m looking at my 2 300’s
One is 24”, the other is 30”
That extra 3” of room over your rock work will be most appreciated by the gang-o-tang
