Well, if I shut off the WM along with the return pump during feeding, I could still use the feeding port right?

I always turn off my pumps when I feed. I do that with my freshwater tank now. I don’t want the food blowing all around the tank, so I don’t mind where the feeding hole is located.

I'm getting a 6.1 dKH based on their table. My PH, using the Salifert test kit, read as 8.15. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Are you suppose to have a 0.1ml gap of air in the syringe when you draw the liquid KH reagent?

Thanks @thesassyindian for the inspiration! Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble with getting a correct reading with the Salifert alkalinity test?

A question for my fellow Evo owners: did you upgrade your return pumps, and did you also get a wave maker? I upgrade to a Sicce Syncra 1.0, but I can’t tell if it’s enough flow. I’m considering adding like a Jebao SLW-10. Would that just make for too much flow?

Sorry for the total noob question, but do you have to introduce coralline algae to grow it? Or does it come from the air like other algae?
