Are these still available? I mostly have softies and LPS but wouldn't mind trying some hardy SPS if you don't mind giving them to a newer reefer.

Your tank looks amazing! Do your corals sting each other, being so close?

    First tank - 20 G Long

Beginner here, but when my new tank started to show dinos I threw in a bunch of pods and turned the lights off for a few days. Problem solved. I don't know how a blackout would affect your macroalgae but pods are probably a good idea anyway since your tanks is so new. You said east bay, if you...

    BlueSallymandr's 40 gallon AIO tank

I did a lot of manual removal and picked up a turbo snail to help with the hair algae. Things are looking better but not perfect yet: And here's a pic of my cleaner shrimp going straight for my dead skin when I let the snail go.

    Tank moving help

Oooh this is a great list, thank you! I'll have to start bucket shopping. I'll rent a Uhaul or something, I don't think my Camry is going to cut it. @MichaelB , yes, I'm still moving Oakland to Oakland, but the floor may not be done on my new house until the 12th unfortunately. The timing...

    Tank moving help

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to move the fish on the weekend of May 17th-18th. Would people be available then? I can do anytime at all. What kind of supplies do I need? Other than I assume lots of buckets? Containers for any corals that come loose?

    Lettuce Sea Slugs

I have 2-3 lettuce sea slugs that I'm making available. These slugs use the chlorophyll they get from bryopsis to photosynthesize, and are really neat. A good tank for them contains bryopsis to eat and some sort of protection to keep them from getting sucked into the powerheads/filter intakes...

    What is this algae?

Huh, that's an interesting gizmo! I usually do all my manual removal/scrubbing first and only then start siphoning. Then I use a net to catch all the drifting stuff that didn't get siphoned...

    BlueSallymandr's 40 gallon AIO tank

Well, I still have algae, as I mentioned in another thread. On the plus side, my clownfish are sure enjoying the situation, lolol.

    What is this algae?

So you think definitely hair algae and not bryopsis? Thanks!
