Herbivores don’t really “remove” it though - they poop it back into the system. This approach makes sense but only if you are manually pulling all of the algae growth out of the tank, otherwise the nutrients don’t actually go anywhere right?
Not really any different than a refugium or scrubber...
Here's a pic of what I got - left of the oregon tort. Definitely some kind of small polyp but doesn't look as big or have as long tentacles as the "blue clove polyps" I've seen. They also haven't really been an issue - been in my tank for a while. Definitely slowly growing over rocks but not...
13-15 USD plus the hassle of buying/printing a label yourself and/or driving to the post office!
That low price was interesting but if they aren't including postage....hard pass from me.
I think I may have these in my tank - but they don’t really seem able to compete with any corals and haven’t really been a problem, so maybe they are something else?

I've done the bacterial test a couple of times now. I think I posted the results of the first one in my TJ. I mostly wanted to do a before/after chemiclean treatment (didn't notice much change in my microbiome other than a huge reduction in cyano on the results).
I probably won't do another...
