Kinetic, I’ve been following your thread for a while and I’m pretty much setting up the same set up. I was wondering what you thought of the Maxspect Gyre XF130 on that tank. I’ve never owned a gyre and I’m intrigued by their design.

I love mine. They are a bit overpriced for what they are but I had to have another one for my new build. I have to be a bit more gentle with the 3/4” glass thickness so that it doesn’t fly off. There was a company at RAP that came up with something similar but not quite as multi function.

I was going to pick up one of those frag containers but remembered halfway home. Does anyone know where I can get one?

I buy the big blocks of aquarium foam and cut out 4 1/4” circles that fit snugly in the cups. These catch a lot of detritus and can be reused after rubbing them between your hands under the faucet. I keep 2 extra sets on hand.
