You think it’s bleached? It looks like most of the pics I’ve seen online, but I’ll admit I haven’t looked too deep into. It has a richer color in person, but it’s definitely white. I’ll be curious to see if it changes.
I placed it in that spot in the hopes to would stay there, but it...
Thanks for the feedback. Definitely going to get the watchman and shrimp. Not married to the dottyback idea, but I want something that will swim around and I’m not a fan of Cardinals…
I have a 20g nano that I was thiiiiiiiiiiiis close to getting rid of. I had a battle with cyano and it was a months long bloodbath. I finally got things back under control about three weeks ago.
After the long battle, I decided to keep the tank and add to the pair of naked clowns, conch, and...
Great photo of the gold spot! Thanks for sharing your experience. This is pretty much how I expect ours to go.
Our FF is about 7 inches and the Gold Lined is about 3.5, so they don't seem to care about each other at all. I assume that will change as the gold lined gets bigger. We're gonna ride...
It's going to a battle of two fronts. Manual removal and bumblebees. I've seen some folks have reportedly great success and some see no difference. So we'll see. Thanks for the advice on the number. I don't want too many of them in there, so I think 15-20 is a good start.
This is the attitude I'm going in with. I want to get them away from my corals first and whittle away the rest as I can. The only real damage I can see that they cause is harming corals. And I can see that in my torch. There are a TON in there, so I'm going to take a few weeks and do my best...
Vermetid snails... and it turns out I have hundreds of them :(
I had no idea what all these "reddish sticks" were growing all over my tank. I finally looked into it. Yeah, they are everywhere. The initial weapons of choice will be bone cutters and bumblebee snails.
Any suggestions?
Update on this. We decided to put the little GL Rabbitfish in the tank and see what happens. And... nothing happened.... the Gem Tang chased him around for a day and that was it. The Foxface is like 3x's the size of the GL and he doesn't seem to care.
I know this little experiment will come to...
We have an established Foxface (named Hendrix) in our 135 gallon. He's about 7 inches and, while he mixes it up with the Convict Tang a bit, he's generally peaceful. We bought a Golden Lined Rabbitfish (the wife has named him Harvey) from Biota because we thought he was cool looking, but frankly...
Hey Mike! yeah, she's totally into it. This was my idea to start, but she has really gotten involved. Thanks again for your help with the tank! Really happy with the final outcome
