Grew up far from wealthy... Worked in a few pet shops on the weekends during the summer for fun as a kid. Always was eager to learn about nature. I consistently had a 20-45 gallons tank in my room in my younger kid days. What was inside ranged from hamsters, crickets, tarantulas, snakes, lizards, to freshwater fish - Guppies, and more guppies. Those things bred like rabbits...
Started multiple successful companies several years ago. Recently married. I have more time and money now and a lot of energy being that I'm still technically young.
Before I got married and moved, I sold my JBJ rimless 30 gal. tank. I bought it used and it was definitely a learning experience from the get go. 1.) Being a beginner I could of done more research before buying a used tank with livestock and equipment. 2.) It would have been a much more fun endeavor if I had pieced a dry system together myself and started from scratch, cycling and introducing the livestock myself. 3.) I never thoroughly inspecting all equipment other than cleaning it before using it. End story, I was electrocuted.
Long story short - All of the small things added up which led me to sell the damn thing.
Now... Several months later. Hours of research and multiple books read cover to cover I think I'm ready to start from step 1 (for the first time).
Wish me luck all!
Cheers,
