What happened to green BTAs?

I was out of the hobby for a few years and have just realized that I haven’t seen a green bubble tip anemone anywhere. I’ve always loved them more than roses, but my wife is the tank decorator and she likes the roses.

Has the stock just dried up of them , or do people just not want them?

there is a "green" nem that is very sought after. People have labeled it "dolphin green bubble tip" named after the LFS that first sold it. As far as i know, that is the only green nem that people still want.

This was my old tank

I see a lot pop up. Diver's Den has a couple every day. There was a basketfull of them at Aquatic Collection last week.

Dolphin Pet Village had the original green + purple tips one. Looks almost like a magnifica. I'm waiting to get one some day.

My current green one is actually more pale neon than a deep green. It's "neon green with purple tips," imported from Vietnam. The porcelin crab I have happens to be the subject of the photo below, but yeah you can see it:

Lately LiveAquaria's Diver's Den has a "watermelon green with ultra tips," that seem to pop up daily. It's a bit darker green and might be closer to what you're thinking.

Well, if you are interested in an old school green BTA I will bring one to the swap. I think clowns look great in them

I’ll check with the tank boss. We have a lot of corals in our tank right now. I usually add them first and let hem settle before adding corals.

Generic green BTAs are still available at LFS. Clearwater, Neptune, and Aquatic Collections all carry them... $40 on average

There are some higher end strains like DPV or my NCC Glowstick (shameless plug... lol) that will run well beyond that.
