    1G Nano Tank

I have the 40oz version. Bought at CFM a year ago. Except letting the fireworks cloves start to take over; has been quite easy to manage. Water changes are too easy.

What did everyone get from CFM?

I grabbed : Amazeballs Goni; Red Glitter goni; HG Torch; Holy Guacamole Torch; an interesting/colorful encrusting monti. Tried for AquaSD HG Torch, but sold before i got to it.

Favorite ATO for big tank: Tunze V3 vs ATK vs ReefATO

i have Tunze on a 150G, worked flawlessly for many years; only stopped using it to dose KALK through a reactor instead. Have a Hydros ATO on my nem tank; also works without issue -- but does require a Hydros controller. Tunze doesn't matter what or if you run a controller system.

    What salt mix you use?

I have used many different salts over the years. Been using TM Pro the last 5 at least; main reason is how clean and quickly it mixes, so little residue in the mixing container.

    Water Storage

What are good options for water making/storage 50G or bigger? I have been using a Brute trashcan for better than a decade; but would likes something bigger (especially as I get ready to bring another system online). -rob

Just got a pair of lionfish

A few years ago when i went spearfishing for them in the Keys; my DM had managed to stab himself while cleaning a dead one - so it is still possible, for a person at least. I cooked them on the grill, very tasty; but you need the bigger ones if trying to fillet them for meat.

    Reefwave 45 part sourcing

If you need some spare parts, i have a RW45 i just 'retired' the controller kept failing connect to the pump and make the changes i was trying. The pump ran/runs fine. I'm trying out the Oribit4 since i already use Mobius for my Vortechs and Versa's.

    Sinularia on Main Rockwork?

Mainly grows upward or wide from the trunk (based on flow and food). Not really a danger to encrust over your rocks and take over (like xenia).

    Black Friday reefing deals/purchases?

I’m debating on adding some AI Blades to my Sky’s and I need a new gyre pump; my Red Sea is having controller issues so might get the AI version since I have a bunch of Vortech and Versa’s in play (simplify my apps). Stock up on ESV and salt.

What do you use to clean your sumps (and pipes)?

I also use the buckethead, made quick work of ~6 years of detritus build up in my sump.

    Thoughts on ceramic media?

it is old crushed coral yes, maybe the pieces are a little bigger. Reborn specifically is TLF Calcium RX media; reefers have just taken to using it for substrate and such since won't move nearly as much as sand when you crank up the flow and corals can grow on it. Comes in clean and ready to go...

    Thoughts on ceramic media?

i have used and currently do use Marine Pure and Brightwells Xport Brick. My Marine Pure block is about 6 years old and zero crumbling. I actually pulled it from the sump this past Saturday to clean the detritus buildup that was in there. Rinsed it and put it back in; even after handling it...
