I use to run one for years. This was about 20 years ago. It was huge. Double recirculating pump Deltec. The pro is they don’t over flow. Well mine never did. They are supposed to skim better. More efficient with the bubbles. The con is you need an extra pump and they take up a lot of space. I...

I have them in my overflow box. They live fine with natural light to extremely low light. They do detach and I find them in the sump floating around.
