This is the better solution. Plywood will take on any water, LVP planks will not. Make a simple frame the matches the footprint of the stand. The weight will be distributed out from the frame to the floor. And denting from the weight of the feet will happen to the frame and not your floor beneath.

I second advanced acrylics if you’re interested in going that route. Guaranteed to not leak in my opinion. Just have to be more careful with care and maintenance. Jon build my 220 fully out of 3/4 acrylic and polished all edges. Looks great in my opinion

Gotcha i will look into those. By hard on the aquarium, are you saying the wave puts additional stress on the seams of a glass aquarium? My tank is full 3/4 acrylic. Built like a tank

I’ve been contemplating getting one for the 220. I want to add more water movement, but don’t want more power heads in the tank. Currently have two Neptune waves and two flared return nozzles. Anyone currently using one? Pros and cons? Is there something else I should look into? Thx!

Just don’t get too aggressive with the tightening. You can crack the housing.
