    Patio's IM 75 EXT

Yes, it does look dangerous. I'm not sure how else I can get my colony cut, though.

How Often Does Everyone Clean Their Avast Plank?

I clean the feeding tube every 8 weeks, which seems to be the maximum time for me. I have not cleaned the drum yet as it seems to be a bit more annoying to do, and it still looks fine, but will need to do at one point. For those who have not thrown away the flimsy opening dial, at which number...

What food does everyone put in their Avast Plank?

I am putting TDO, Seaweed Extreme, some flakes, and Reef jerky in it. My fish love everything that comes out of it, even my triggers go for seaweed, seaweed pellets etc, so cannot tell and continue to mix various types of food. On a separate note, I do not, oddly but intentionally, feed...

Cutting corals from the (encrusted) bottom - yes or no?

I only tried to cut of the egg crate without touching the rock/frag plate/whatever the coral is attached too (not sure), so what @psidriven suggested would be the most likely scenario.

I think this is exactly what happended.

Cutting corals from the (encrusted) bottom - yes or no?

A good plan with potentially poor execution #user error. #Success - I found a rock which could hold the smaller colony with the concave base very well. Without cutting the base - in fact, I could not cut it the way it was shaped without dismantling the whole thing. #Failure - cutting the base...

    Alex’s IM 150 EXT

It does very well, but not as fast grower as the green ones. You are in line for a frag, just not sure how long this will take - it might benefit from more light.

    Alex’s IM 150 EXT

Picked these three up from @dandemeyere yesterday. After an hour in the dark tank they already started to recover from the trip, dipping, and sawing. This is how they looked at first light this morning. Just need to find a place for them now.

Cutting corals from the (encrusted) bottom - yes or no?

I have these two SPS colonies which I would like to glue onto a large plate or rock (sorry for the glare). Are there any issues with me cutting them from the bottom with a bandsaw to make the bottom flat (or get them into a better shape) for easier attachment? My goal is to not hurt the colony...

RODI System Recommendations and Considerations (and which ones not to buy)

After this purchase I certainly got more interested into this topic. Looks like folks prefer to do a sequential setup of dual membranes but Chris argues that a parallel setup is more cost-effective due to cost savings from lower usage of resins over water savings. Even in California according to...

RODI System Recommendations and Considerations (and which ones not to buy)

Closing the loop on what I ended up buying—I thought I had already posted this somewhere, but apparently not. So I bought the AirWaterIce.com Neptune 8-stage system - https://airwaterice.com/collections/reefkeepers-rodi/products/neptune-8-stage-rodi-with-2-membranes-3-di I added the following...
