The committee is a pretty experienced group, I would shocked if there are many split decisions. I think we'll only see this happen with a very obscure coral where most members abstain and we only get a couple votes. I'm fine with @Darkxerox as tie-breaker in that case.

I would never buy another rimless tank ever again, I think it's such a scam! It makes the tank weaker, is less handy/functional, and makes it easier for fish to jump out. I don't even use any screen or netting my tank the eurobrace is so big.

Absolutely OK to abstain from whatever you want - that's the idea! Looking like we are getting a pretty healthy-sized committee so there will be plenty of votes to a make decision if several people end up abstaining.

That’s funny I got that error a lot when adding a 4th pump to my WE which also happened to be a varios2. I even thought it was a bad dongle at one point and ordered another. I never actually got it working, it was like certain combos of pumps in certain outlets worked and some didn’t.

My hydros ATO is still going strong after 3 years of service and basically no maintenance. Interested to see if you have the same success with it.

Ah this is a newer version! My pump came with a little twisty plastic thing - used for the same purpose. You'd turn it to set the flow rate. But it was cheap and flimsy and didn't really make sense to me so I tossed it. The 3d printed piece in my version is just a big open hole...which I'm fine...

Ah yeah I threw that in the trash a long time ago. Don't you just want as much flow as possible? Like @JVU says even just to extend the time between cleanings. I also want as much food entering the water column at once as possible because otherwise the fastest and most aggressive pigs just sit...
