I just went for the ULR phosphate and alk. I also have the copper one for QT. However, I read too many mixed reviews on the calcium one.... so I didn't get it.

Some people use the kamoer dosing pumps and just grab 2 or 3 of them. Another couple options are the BRS doser and Bubble Magus.

I'd recommend grabbing some Hanna checkers and test kits. Their alk and phosphate ones are amazing and makes testing a breeze. I use salifert for calcium and magnesium and red sea for nitrate. I made the mistake of not testing and dosing when I started and crashed my tank.

I think the bleaching event happened when I dosed Vibrant for bubble algae, which crashed the phosphate and nitrate. However, I got the nutrient levels back but the bounces didn't recover like the other stuff. The other bounce that I have (which is still slightly bleached) just expelled some...

Definitely recommend testing a few days apart to see how much your tank uses (probably very little right now). Then dose accordingly.

Haha, maybe I need to dirty up my tank more.... sitting at 10 nitrate, .08 phosphate now.

The first batch of fish are in. 2 o clowns and the chromis are back from QT. Also got a blue throat trigger and a desjardini sailfin tang. For the first time in a long time, I feel like the tank is going well. Added a dream coral of mine, a large CC magic carpet mushroom, and some chalices.

Hey everyone, Looks like there's some brown stuff covering just 1 patch of zoas. It looks like a few polyps have melted away. Parameters: Alk - 8 Calcium - 450 Mag - 1400 ph - 8.1 temp - 78 nitrate - 8 phosphate - .07 Any suggestions?

The tubbs that I got from Ashburn are still brown on the skirts, I think they are definitely different.

I personally think the 1lb carbon is absurd.... I just used a fresh batch in a reactor, and added a small mesh bag in a filter sock.

When I dosed mine, the initial dose wasn't enough to start killing the flatworms. I followed the instructions and added 50% more and that did the trick. Then I dosed again a week afterwards and saw minimal flatworms. Good luck!

I've used FWE and it works well. I think the instructions say to do a follow-up dose a week afterwards.
