If you're like me and run two dosing pumps plus an aqualifter for ATO, you may not have the option of using outlets 4 and 8. What I found on the Neptune forums and has worked for me is to plug in a single outlet surge protector to make sure it doesn't get stuck on.

I cleaned out the pump and am doing a vinegar bath soak while waiting for the replacement part. Forgot how loud the mag pumps are compared to the eheims.

I was doing my water change today and when I restarted my return pump, it didn't run. It looks like the impeller magnet is cracked end to end. It's a 5+ year old eheim 1250. Never had a problem with it. Has anyone had this happen to them before? Luckily I had a mag 3 sitting around to backup...

Are you relying on the check valve to prevent back flow into the sump? They're notoriously unreliable.

Thanks. Exactly what I did. The crack felt fused at least half way through (#4) after it set and I just slapped a big piece over it all. I didn't think to get the thicker weld on for the extra piece and ended up squeezing a ton of #4 over both surfaces to get them to fuse.

:) thanks. I redrilled in another location. I'm going to try to work some weld on into the crack and let it set and then patch the whole area in the back with weld on and another piece of acrylic. Luckily I hadn't drilled through yet.
